Q:I’ve never used a waxing product before. What is a good product for me to try as a first-time user?

Q:I’m afraid to try wax because of the pain. Do you have any suggestions?
A: Try our Gentle Touch Numbing Solution with 5% Benzocaine. This specially formulated & salon tested numbing solution eases the pain and irritation associated with waxing. Apply to area and allow to dry for one minute before waxing. Especially helpful for Brazilian bikini waxing! Q:I like the convenience of at-home waxing. Does Surgi offer any products that are easy-to-use and affordable?

Q:How can I make sure that I’m heating the Surgi-Wax to the proper consistency?
A: The wax should have a thick, creamy consistency like honey. It should cling to the spatula and glide on your skin smoothly. All of our Surgi-Wax products come with easy-to-follow directions that contain a heating chart to guide you along the way. Before you apply wax onto your skin, test a small patch on the inside of your wrist to make sure it’s not too hot. If the wax is like liquid consistency, then it’s too hot. DO NOT apply onto skin! Wait until it cools.
Q: I'm having trouble removing hair when I wax.
A: You're probably having one of the following problems:
• The hair is too short. Hair needs to be at least a quarter of an inch long to wax.
• The wax strip was pulled off too slowly or in the wrong direction. Make sure the strip is pulled off parallel to the skin, not straight up. Remove in one swift motion in the opposite direction of hair growth.
• The wax strip was not applied immediately after application. Make sure to rub firmly for 3-4 seconds in the direction of the hair growth and remove strip in the opposite direction.
• Lastly, make sure the area to be waxed is first cleansed with Prep Clean Pre-Wax Cleanser to remove all perspiration, oils and makeup so that wax adheres to the hair better.
